LET'S DIG INTO THE DETAILS OF ALL 5 STAGES OF YOUR SUCCESS PATH
Here's how it all shakes out...
STAGE ONE
STAGE 1: BABY BRUSH
As a baby brush, you are excited and eager to learn more about all different aspects of painting! You may be completely new to painting, or you may have been doing for years, but you're looking to improve your basic painting understanding and skills. You love following painting instructions step by step, but you are looking to dive a little deeper so you can better understand what you are doing and have a little more confidence behind actually doing it! You are just getting your toes wet and we can't wait to support you!
STAGE TWO
STAGE 2: ROUND BRUSH
Now that you have a good understanding of the basics regarding supplies and mediums and how a color wheel works you are ready to dive into better understanding techniques such as value, blending, highlights and shadow! You're well on your way to becoming a painting master!
STAGE THREE
STAGE 3: SQUARE BRUSH
This is exciting - you're entering a more advanced zone! You've mastered how to blend color, add highlights, and shadow and you understand value which is one of the hardest parts about painting! You have good foundational knowledge, so now it's time to take your painting to the next level by introducing some texture! Your skills are showing, so feel proud!
STAGE FOUR
STAGE 4: MEDIUM BRUSH
Ok, so now you're becoming a seasoned pro. At this stage, you can easily predict the next step in a painting when being instructed step by step, and it's time for you to start getting a little more comfortable painting on your own! In this stage, you'll start learning how to look at the world like an artist! We'll be introducing you to the concept of negative space, composition, and the rules of 3's. Who knew you could sound so artsy?? We can't wait to see what you create!
STAGE FIVE
STAGE 5: BIG BRUSH
Ok, you're officially becoming a painting master. At this stage, you should be feeling pretty proud of yourself because you are able to create your own work and even fix your own mistakes! You have the ability to look at something and say, "I want to paint that!" and have some idea where to start. After completing this stage, you'll have a good understanding of perspective, AND you'll be able to create and paint from a still life or photo. Who knows, you may even start selling your own artwork!!

MEET YOUR TOUR GUIDE
Hey there, I'm Jackie. I am the daughter, artist and Creative Director of this business!
I give my mom all the credit in the world for giving me the confidence to follow my creative passion and support me on my artistic journey.
As kids, we were never allowed to say we were bored becuase she would tell us that "bored people are boring". And she would just hand us markers and paper.
Coming from a family of artists (my grandmother being Nancy Schon, artist of Make Way for Ducklings in Boston) I wanted to rebel against my artistic side and my mom is the one who encouraged me to major in art in college.
I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a Fine arts Degree, majoring in photography. However, painting has always remained my true artistic passion!
I have spent the last 10 years teaching in our studio right outside of Boston, M and now I am am beyond excited to be able to teach people all over the world! Join me on this fun adventure. Let's get painting!
